He has an artificial heart that slows his physiological response to stress. Alan Carter Date of birth: 19 December 1966 Reconnaissance pilot who witnessed the nuclear explosion that tore the moon from Earth's orbit. He had the chance to return to Earth, but chose to remain on Moonbase Alpha. Paul Morrow Date of birth: 29 October 1970 Second in Command of Moonbase Alpha. Maya A shapeshifter rescued from the destruction of her homeworld by the Alphans. She becomes the science officer on the base.
